Gardens

You are invited into eight private gardens …

In 2024, the Garden Tour features 8 gardens:  two within the town of Uxbridge and six countryside properties located in the north of Uxbridge Township. Visit a heritage schoolhouse garden, stroll through a verdant hosta grove, and take in hilltop views from bountiful perennial gardens. This countryside drive offers a leisurely pace making for an easy day trip, no matter what route you chose to follow to these amazing gardens.

The tour proudly features local artists  who have been invited to display their works in selected gardens. Several talented painters creating “en plein air” (live painting outdoors) are also invited  to paint in the gardens throughout the day. Many of the artists offer their artwork for sale during the tour.

Your standard admission includes a Tour Passport that  provides a driving map and a description of each garden, along with a Wristband for each participant (both provided on the day of the tour at the welcome centre). Wristbands must be worn as proof of your ticket to gain admission in to each garden.

Please Note:

  • No pets are allowed
  • All garden properties are non-smoking
  • No food or beverages are permitted in the gardens
  • No video can be taken
  • Photography is only permitted when granted by the homeowner or the volunteer at the garden entrance. Please request permission at each site before taking photographs at any of the properties and respect the privacy of our garden hosts.
  • Children under 12 years admitted free; no strollers please
